I didn't want to just take the first 10 rolls and use them for ME icons, and the next 10 for DA, or go down the path of least resistance and use each roll for the fandom it fits more, so I went with the theme of the challenge and used a d20 die to assign the rolls to fandoms.

I ended up with no texture themes, which is sad, and with what feels like ALL the song themes, which is even sadder, because none of the songs actually fit my chosen subjects. Or they did fit, but I hated the song, and therefore refused to use it. And I wanted to icon 20 different characters, 10 faves from each fandom, so I had to engage in some inspiration gymnastics to make it all work... But somehow it all turned out well in the end, I think ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My goal here was to experiment a bit, don't just go cut out/solid bg/subtle texture on top for every icon, and while they're not as creative as they could be, I think I didn't fail.... completely. I even tried that gradient map coloring that's popular these days, and it was surprisingly fun :U (next goal: try it on real people) (next next goal: try a crop that's not center)

Unbelievable set!! ♥♥ Your style is super cool and creative! The way you use texture of 2, 3, 9, 13(animation is awesome!!) and 17 is just so stunning!! Also text 4 and 10 are amazing. I love the blue colors 11, 12, 14 and 15 :D The composition and the colors are wonderful and powerful of 5 and 6 =) I love the blending of 16 and the red colors of 18-20; also the contrast is awesome! 1 is very interesting; I love the contrast and powerful color! I adore the vibrant colours, especially in #6, #13, #17, #18 and #20. Compositions in #2, #3, #9, and #16
are exceptional. I also love your use of text, #4 and #10 are my absolute favourite icons. The distant
crop in #1 is simply stunning. And the use of stock textures in #5, #11 and #12 absolutely impressive.

6 is fucking incredible and looks like an album cover. The colors are phenomenal! 5 managed to take an elegant floral texture and make it look funky and sassy! I love that piece! The sharpening in 16 is EVERYTHING. The laser blue waves look so awesome! 15 is utter perfection. Loving the combo of matte red subject on that cool blue backdrop and the little halo effect surrounding his head. There is some truly amazing and brilliant stuff here! ;D

WHAT A SPECTACULAR SET, SRSLY.
ahaha, omg, you're the only one this far who has used my icon for inspiration so thanks, I'm flattered :3 and I see that you used it for 'that gradient map coloring', so... welcome to the dark side I guess?? :DD IT IS FUN and i really love that icon, the reb+blue+white combo is great and it has the perfect matte look and sharpness and everything so yeah, totally rocking that style :>

secondly, I love that tyou went for some inspiration gymnastics, and that seems to have produced some really cool creative icons! The text use in 4 is awesome, love the placement and fonts. 13 is my fave probably just W O W loving the bright cyan animated tears and that that was your interpretation of a 'breakdown' :D 8 is super amazing too, looove the dark vibrancy and the painted details! 10 is perfect like your far crop + negative space icons always are - love the fun text use here, I can never make circular text work so i am in awe of this. 11 and 16 both have incredible rich colorings, and I love 18 cause the character stands out so nicely against the background.

This style is way more fun than I expected, so thank you for making that icon & making it so inspiring I guess c: IT IS DEFINITELY A DARK SIDE THOUGH. I just wanted to use it once to see how it works, but then I made two more for this set, and another two for other comms...... it's so fun to play with for really cool results, I want to use it all the time now. It's horrible.

btw, because of your 10in30 set from lat month, I started watching Free! and it's SO AWESOME & also RIDICULOUS, I keep giggling like an idiot. I'm only on ep3 of the first season, but I can already feel this anime is going to be a PROBLEM.

I am in love with 15. The blue/red coloring is so pretty, and perfectly balanced so it's not creating that wierd bleed/burn effect that red and blue sometimes create... I just can't get over how perfect it is XD

i'm still so ????? abt how you can make gaming icons that is just so darn impressive to me and your colors and compositions always make me cry with joy. 5 has the perfect texture use, 8 has the raddest (do people still use that word or is it no longer cool idk?) effect. whenever you do that ~3d effect, i always go *heart eyes emoji* and my heart goes doki doki sry, my weeaboo ass can't be tamed and 13 is one of the best icons i have ever seen holy shit O: it's GENIUS. and the colors are so gorgeous, but your colors are always gorgeous. and the sharpening is so on fucking point *_____*
