25 x Haikyuu!!
Sssso, for this round of
somein30 I ended up going with extra hard mode, which is to make one icon per episode with a randomized prompt for each one. The challenge was actually posted when I was on my way to a vacation, and with me I had a few shows to watch in the evenings or on days of bad weather... 2 new ones and the first season of Haikyuu, in case I didn't end up enjoying the new ones and wanted something comfy to watch anyway. Which was actually perfect, since I could have like a... guided rewatch with the prompts. I started a file on my phone with a list of pre-randomized prompts and tried to write down some notes on each ep to make the icons later, when I got home.
But well. The season is 25 episodes long, and you cannot expect me just just... stop after 20 eps...... this is not how my brains works........ so this is actually 2 sets of 12/13 which also reflects the arcs in the season. ANYWAY, prompts + explanations below each set.

11-13
01. MVP character - episode 1 has like... 2 characters total and only one of them is not pathetic SO.
02. random scene
03. character development - I think this ep rly highlights the frustration Hinata feels about being not a very good player, and how he wants to change that.
04. favorite interaction - the volleyball idiots acknowledging each other as allies!
05. favorite quote - I lucked out a bit here and got the episode with probably the most famous phrase from the show lol. and also anti-lucked out since other than THIS ONE FRAME, it had zero scenes that actually were iconable for it.
06. favorite scene - the faux horror scene after Hinata acidentally hits Kageyama with a ball. honestly love it and I did NOT DO IT JUSTICE lmao.
07. favorite quote - I did not luck out here cause this episode... really didn't have great quotes. It did however have a very long-winded speech that includes the phrase used, and the tiny text is supposed to represent the rest of it lol.
08. MVP character - EVERYONE IS LIKE 110% USELESS IN THIS EPISODE. seriously, no one gets anything done, they just run around whining and being annoying. so I iconned the one character who did not annoy me because he is barely in this episode.
09. plot relevance - this episode has Asahi getting over his fears and returning to volleyball, so here he is, playing volleyball.
10. favorite interaction - Hinata & Asahi, I found it nice how their approaches differ but play off each other.
11. random scene
12. character development - more like skill development? Hinata learning to aim and play deliberately. but skill development is character development for this obsessed little gremlin so I think it works
13. most known for - ??? not really anything, but it does establish the friendly rivalry between two schools, so I guess that's what I had to go with here.
14-18
19-23
24-25
14. favorite interaction - female characters don't get a lot of love in this fandom, but I do love how Shimizu grows closer to the team here ok
15. character development - Asahi learning to be less bothered by his fears so it's kinda. spooky scenery. idk, I had no idea for this icon.
16. random scene
17. most known for - another one I had very little idea for - first time a type of attack was performed
18. character development - this is the ep where Sugawara decides he is not happy just staying back and fading into the background, so. perfect for this theme.
19. underrated - I feel the teachers don't get a lot of focus in this fandom in general, and I actually really like them, especially Ukai. gotta love the adult trying to be reasonable when surrounded by idiotic children :v
20. favorite scene - Tanaka is a character I never paid that much attention to before, but he grew on me in this rewatch, and the scene where he tries to reset and start fresh was really nice I thought.
21. character development - Kageyama getting benched and using that to calm down and get a fresh perspective
22. MVP character - ...tbh I don't remember what was the reason here. in my notes I just wrote Tsukishima so here is is. I love this grump so I guess that was enough??
23. favorite scene - the final point sequence! it was really nice. so I made an icon that shows none of it, hah.
24. MVP character - I generally really like Oikawa as a character, and in this ep he really shines, so.
25. favorite quote - sadly an episode with no properly quotable lines and no caps that really fit the ones I had in mind so. I worked with what I had and I hate text anyway u__u
